4/22/2012
Distance: 3 miles
Running Time: 5x 4 min segments with 3 min walking, last two were 3:30 walking
Destination:  Manchester to Westchester
Weather:  Hot, stop wearing jacket
Clothing:  Teal pullover jacket - too hot, stop wearing jacket
Regrets:  Frank working really helped out with the distraction, as did the change in scenary, Manchester is like an obstacle course
Best Part: Longer segments, really feeling like I did my best

Goal revisited - want to be at 3x 5min by end of April.  Planning on early June 5k.

4/15/2012
Distance: 3 miles
Running Time: 4x 4 min segments with lots of walking (4-5min)
Destination:  Airport Road and back - a little further than last time, lost on McConnell, bad idea
Weather:  Thought it was chilly, but actually hot once we got out there, probably too hot for the dog
Clothing:  Teal pullover jacket - as always - bad idea - too hot.
Regrets:  Frank GPS out of whack, heart rate monitor battery dead, right ankle started hurting from the very beginning.  Same ankle as last time.  Wrapped and rested when I got back.  Ankle hurts more when walking than when running.  Investigate whether it's shoes; gait; ankle strength.  
Best Part: The weather is getting so much warmer, it's great to be outside.  Did some cartwheels before we began.  Just wanted to play:-)  Maybe some kickball next time.  


Stay at 5k distance for at least the rest of April.  Also try to move up to 5 minute segments in next 2-3 runs.  Goal to be at 1/2 mile segments by end of April with 1/4 mile walking x4.

Distance: 2.5 miles ish
Running Time: 3x 4 min segments with 3 min walking
Destination:  Airport Road and back - a little further than last time
Weather:  Chilly, good once the run started
Clothing:  Teal pullover jacket - as always
Regrets:  Frank GPS out of whack, heart rate monitor battery dead, right ankle started hurting about midway through, felt like i needed to do more when I was done
Best Part:  Going further than last time, running longer segments

Next run will try to move to 5k distance for next few weeks.  Also try to move up to 5 minute segments in next 2-3 runs.  Goal to be at 1/2 mile segments by end of April.

Distance: 2 miles - ish, Actually used Frank this time but GPS was out of whack
Running Time: 4x 3min segments with 3 min walking
Destination:  Airport Frontage Road and Back
Weather:  Nice
Clothing:  Teal pullover jacket again
Regrets:  Frank GPS not working, a bit of a hill coming back
Best Part:  Before noon, nice start to the day.

Good improvement from last time, but will get better next time.

Distance: 2 miles
Running Time: 6-8 minutes
Destination:  Bread Co. (for my STL peeps)
Weather:  Amazing
Clothing:  Teal pullover jacket
Regrets:  Frank was dead, carried keys, almost got run over by bicyclists
Best Part:  Feeling ready to run home when it was over

I forgot why I haven't been running.  This run was great.
